In 2005 we purchased a nineteen unit apartment complex in the heart of Hillcrest, San Diego. The existing development was made up of 2 buildings which include ten 1 bedroom units and seven 2 bedroom units and finally one unique 2,200 sq. ft. 3 bedroom unit spread evenly between the 2 buildings. Soon after purchasing the complex we began entitling / mapping the project as condominiums. We presented our stunning renovation to neighborhood planning groups and city council and received unanimous approval and support. Our design theme was critical to our success. We not only thought carefully about our design of the interior but paid close attention to exterior details as well. In addition, we were able to design great landscape courtyards, dining pavilion and we utilized wasted interior storage space and designed a fitness center, billiards room and still had plenty of room for individual storage lockers as well. The project looks as good today as it did in 2006 when we completed our major renovation.
